Goals, actions, attitude towards others, leading a personal life, forming relationships, participation in the professional sphere. These areas concern the individual and in science are united under one term - the life path of a person. Since people touch on many areas during their existence, philosophers, psychologists, ethnographers, and sociologists study the life scenario. But, closer to the path of life, psychology. This science studies the formation of personality, setting goals, and achieving plans. What is the life path of an individual?
Different views on the path traveled by man
Realists argue that the choice of life path always remains with the person.
Everything he achieves in this life is the result of effort, knowledge, and movement towards the chosen goal. Most would agree with this. People who have set a specific goal in life and, despite the obstacles moving towards it, always achieve it. But each of the realists will agree that situations and events happen in life that are completely independent of human will. They make their own adjustments to life. What is this - completely understandable or the fate of fate from which you cannot escape? Mystics generally believe that a person’s life is programmed by someone in advance, but is not protected from the influence of life circumstances. This can be confirmed by negative events that haunt a person throughout his life. But psychologists give this their own explanation and name - “stuck” emotions. If they are negative, then by creating negative energy around themselves, they also attract similar events to themselves. But what “stuck” emotions can explain wars, disasters, accidents, and other incidents? This means there is something from above.
Awareness of freedom
That's what really matters. A person thinking about how to find the right path in life must first understand that he is absolutely free. And he is free to do whatever he wants
And he is free to do whatever he wants.
But many people in life follow anything but their desires. They listen to their parents, the media, are guided by conventional generally accepted norms and laws, and exist in accordance with a banal model of life. It’s as if they forget that only they and no one else are the masters of their lives.
But freedom is available to everyone. The right to it is even enshrined in the Constitution. Freedom is the ability of a person to live and act in accordance with personal goals and interests, guided by the knowledge of objective necessity. And under no circumstances should we forget about this.
Choice of life path and different dimensions of space
If in the 3rd dimension the main vectors of space practically do not depend on the desire of a person and are formed mainly based on the scenario plan, as external quantities... forming a certain basis, a framework of ideas about life..., then in the 4th dimension this framework simply does not exist ... from the point of view of concepts, goals and development objectives ... in the 4th dimension.
Consequently, those people who enter a state of TRANSITION form the task of not only completely TRANSFORMING their LIFE, but also transforming their values in such a way as to enter this space and get into new values, taking into account DISCONNECTION, purification, neutrality, lack of dependencies from the space of 3rd dimension." and further “...
Unfortunately, today’s human awareness very poorly represents the expansion of one’s own awareness, only indirectly, in certain guidelines, since it begins to forget very quickly…. what happened two years ago, what kind of person he was, what he was afraid of, what he depended on, what he depends on NOW and what he is afraid of today. This forgetfulness, this lack of analysis is introduced by the Higher Self as a program for preserving the ILLUSION, which was created for a person to live in the space of the 3rd dimension...”, any introduction of (new) things into the space of the 3rd dimension will cause conflict states not only with civilizations in the form of ENERGY SUPPLY , also in the form of an EMOTIONAL FRAMEWORK"
What prevents choice - how to remove barriers
The problem of choice is a common cause of stagnation in life, leading to missed chances. In such a state, a person is not able to objectively see effective ways. This means that the issue of regressive circumstances must first be resolved.
What could it be:
- The state of loss - a loved one, an old status, an important job.
- Limitations in the form of external circumstances - health, finances, excessive obligations, etc.
- Dependence on authoritative opinion - overbearing relatives who deprive you of progress towards your dream with words or behavior, toxic friends or loved ones.
These are external circumstances that hinder success. But there are also internal ones that prevent you from choosing your path in life even when all the necessary conditions are there. And neither one nor the other can “dissolve” without intervention. Their presence indicates the need for serious work on oneself.
What concerns internal problems:
- reluctance to lose the familiar comfort zone;
- lack of ideas about the ultimate goal;
- acquired lack of self-confidence, fear of failure against the background of complexes;
- shift of values against the backdrop of resounding success (it is sometimes more difficult to accept happiness with dignity than loss).
All these problems can arise at any age, and at any age their solution leads to the discovery of the true paths of life.

Finding myself
Modern psychology in general notes several factors influencing a person’s life path: a certain historical period, objective events occurring during it, social norms, the actions of an individual, her internal experiences, and so on.

One way or another, it is difficult not to admit that the choice of life path largely depends on the person himself. Any periodization of life development is conditional, each approach is subjective.
For example, one can argue with the stage of old age in Bühler's concept. Yes, of course, this is a less active period compared to adulthood, but life (especially in our age) does not stop at all after 70 years. It’s the same with the very early stage: there are certain individuals who, already in adolescence, decided on plans for the rest of their lives.

The problem of finding a person's life path
A person’s choice of life path remains his own. This is his responsibility, and a spontaneous scenario is unacceptable. To make a choice, you need to analyze the conditions that surround the individual, his behavior in accordance with social norms. Both the person himself and society participate in the formation of an individual scenario.
The life path is influenced by personality traits, abilities, desires, interests, as well as psychological, social and age factors. As an example, we can cite different situations when in one society early marriages are accepted and parents themselves find a spouse for their child, while in another society they are given the right to choose a partner for themselves.
When it comes to searching for a path in life, it first of all means searching for the meaning and purpose of life. The main question: is it possible to find it and change your destiny? Of course, but only if you understand that the owner of your life is you, and the responsibility for everything that happens to you lies entirely with you. Therefore, it is important to be able to analyze your failures, determine what exactly is responsible for them, and correct mistakes. It is necessary to understand your actions and understand what consequences they entail, find cause-and-effect relationships and ask the question not “why?”, but “why, for what?”.
Finding a path in life means realizing yourself in all areas, doing what you like, finding hobbies, a place in society, a loved one. This can be done by finding a balance between desires, abilities and responsibilities, that is, I want, I can and I must. Each point needs to be considered in more detail.
Professional self-determination. In other words, you need to make a list that contains answers to the following questions:
- What do you like to do?
- what can you do, even theoretically?
- Which of these bring good income and/or public approval?
Compare the resulting list with the list of professions that are in demand today, and also see if there are vacancies for them in your region. After studying the labor market, you will be able to choose a suitable occupation for yourself, which will also be stable and well paid.
Personal and social life. Not everyone has a profession as their priority. Someone is looking for the meaning of life and the purpose of their existence. Therefore, you need to focus on your desires, social skills and life principles. As a result, you will have three lists. See if they have common ground. If not, then perhaps you should phrase your points more specifically. Try replacing the idea “I want to earn a lot” with “I want to be a sought-after professional with a successful practice.” If you have written “You need to see only the good,” then correct it to “You need to make the best of troubles,” “I must work hard,” to “My activities must be effective.”
Phases of human development
According to the research of the famous psychologist Karl Bühler, a person experiences 5 phases of development and formation throughout his life. It is at the junction of these periods that it is most difficult to determine your life path, since the psyche is rebuilt in a new way. However, each phase has its own hint.
The first stage of growth occurs at 16 years of age and lasts up to 20 years. Many then think for the first time what they are intended for. But according to observations, this is not the best time for active actions. Internal self-identification is more important here. A person directly or involuntarily chooses his values, which will determine his affairs for a very long time.
The second stage begins at age 20 and continues until age 35. This is the time when you can and should move from thoughts to action. Mentality and physiology at the peak of abilities. Any conscious endeavor can bring the best results. Therefore, it is undesirable to miss this age if you want to live “correctly.”
The third phase is the period after 40 years. Biological resources are declining, but spirituality is reviving. At this moment, a person is able to suddenly turn his life around, completely changing his priorities. The fourth and fifth phases are ages from 50 to 55 years and after 56 years, respectively. Social and physical old age sets in.
However, at any age, a person can achieve a lot. Especially if it uses a universal recipe for development.
How to choose your path in life
To begin with, it is important to note the fact that human life is divided into five phases
Particular attention was paid to this statement by the famous German psychologist K. Bühler, who found that the first two phases relate entirely to finding one’s place in life
He said in his research that the first phase lasts from 16-20 years, and is beyond the mission assigned to a person. This time is allotted for self-determination. The second phase begins after this period and lasts until the age of 25-35, when a person begins to look for himself in different fields of activity, faces obstacles, his own insecurities, realizes the responsibility for choosing a profession and determines what he really needs.
Option 1
The statement that the path of life is a constant choice is undeniable. Every day people are forced to make choices: who to be friends with, who to love, what to do. These questions make you think and weigh the pros and cons. The right choice leads a person to life satisfaction and happiness. This is confirmed by numerous literary examples.
The hero of the novel - L. N. Tolstoy's epic "War and Peace" Pierre Bezukhov is in constant search for life. He ponders the questions: what is good and what is bad? He is concerned about the problem of love and hate. What is evil and what is good in this life? Are these concepts relative or absolute? Pierre's communication with Anatole Kuragin and others like him leads him to doubts and denial of ideals. The hero's acquaintance with the Freemasons brings him out of his spiritual crisis. He understands that there is only one highest wisdom; it does not imply choice. You need to believe, improve, and conscience helps you achieve this. In all situations of choice, one must be guided only by conscience. Having determined for himself to engage in active good, Bezukhov continues his previous life “with the same hobbies and promiscuity.” Moral ideals do not coincide with life practice. The Masons did not share the idea of the common good that Pierre was striving for. He moves away from them. Trying to make a choice between passions and virtue, the hero decides that there is no need to give up passions. They just need to be directed in a good direction. When the Patriotic War of 1812 began, he made another choice and joined the national struggle against Napoleon. Pierre's entire life path consists of a series of choices. The search for truth for the hero ends in the unification and conjugation of everything that exists. Based on this, ideally, good and evil, love and hate should not exist, they should form a single whole. Having made his main choice, Pierre finds happiness.
The hero of M. A. Sholokhov’s work “Quiet Don”, Grigory Melekhov, is also in a situation of constant doubt. At the beginning of the novel, he is tormented by the torment of choosing between two women Aksinya and Natalya. This problem gradually increases in size, over time the hero has to choose between passion and family. He chooses passion. Grigory leaves the family for Aksinya. He destroys the Melekhov family traditions that have been created over decades, which his father zealously guarded. The collapse of the Melekhov family structure coincides with the destruction of universal human traditions. A civil war begins in the country, pitting brother against brother, father against son. Gregory fights first on the side of the whites, then goes over to the reds. He struggles to understand whose side is right. This choice tires him. The hero dreams of peaceful peasant labor, and not of senseless bloodshed. The hero's life passes in endless tossing. He finds peace only after returning home. Of his relatives, he only had a sister and a son. The work ends with the scene of Gregory's return and his meeting with his son. He finally found what he had been striving for all these years. His goal is home, native land and family. This is his main life choice.
Thus, we can conclude that life is a constant choice. It involves working on oneself, the torments of doubt, and making decisions. His life and destiny depend on what a person chooses. He decides to be good or evil, happy or unhappy. Much is in our hands, so important decisions must be balanced
When determining the purpose of life and moving towards it, it is important not to make mistakes. The works of the great classics of Russian literature also teach us this.

Life path
- the irreversible time and space of a person’s life (from birth to death), in which the formation, change, development of personality, its self-realization, organization of life in its own individual way and the implementation of strategies appropriate to its personality type are carried out. The first (and earliest) (idiographic approach to life as a fate independent of a person, emphasized the uniqueness of the individual). The second (biographical), close to the first in its phenomenological descriptive nature, also revealed a unique ensemble of life circumstances. The third (ontogenetic) has developed in developmental psychology as an age-related periodization of an individual’s life, common to all people. The fourth one emphasized the determining role of childhood and sexual relationships with parents (S. Freud and others) and the role of the innate need for self-actualization (S. Bühler, A. Maslow, etc.), which determines the personality and its life path. At the same time, Bühler makes an attempt to present the life path as a natural process - “individual history” and identifies external and internal events as its units. But, bypassing the personality, she failed to connect. The fifth - most clearly represented by the epigenetic concept of E. Erikson - revealed the features of development and new formation of personality that arise in each age period through the resolution of eight crises associated with it. However, Erikson also recognizes the role of psychosocial, cultural-historical and social conditions, and determines personal development through methods of interaction with an ever-expanding circle of people and the context of life. The sixth approach is associated with the development by B. GANanyev of the “life cycle” category; it is valuable in the desire to combine age and social periodization (mature age is represented by roles, status, professional career) of an individual’s life. Having included the latter in the historical context and events, methods of education, etc., B.G. Ananyev studied the natural complex connections of the development of various mental functions, considered the personality as a system inscribed in the social system and systems of social groups. His approach is distinguished by its empirical nature and the introduction into the field of view of psychology and psychologists of the problems of the adult personality (since most specific studies of personality had as their object the personality of the child), its maturity, the achievement of its peaks in its life - acme, the disclosure of individuality as the highest level of development and, finally , inclusion (recognition) of the problem of old age as a natural stage of a person’s life, requiring its own study and understanding (since the concept of gerontology was practically absent in Russian science). He identified the personally interesting stages of youthful “start” and “finish”, achieved in old age. B.G. Ananyev’s ideas about the personality of an adult, about maturity as its special quality, about acme as its highest achievements in life, opened up the prospect of the emergence of a modern complex scientific discipline - acmeology. It integrates all the Concepts of the individual level of human existence - “individual”, “personality”, “individuality”, “subject” - setting as its task the optimization of human development in all qualities. A significant role in the future was played by his identification of the concepts of “subject of activity”, “subject of cognition”, “subject of life path” as special forms of human activity. Paying attention to the development of man as an individual, he made a fundamental difference between the biology of man and animals, the laws of higher nervous activity of which were transferred by I.P. Pavlov and his followers directly to man (for example, the second signaling system). The seventh approach is qualitatively different from the previous ones, since, firstly, the personality itself is defined not as isolated, present, given substantially, but continuously, that is, in the space-time of the life path, its contradictions and ways to solve them; self-expression and self-actualization are two of the most important characteristics of the personal essence. This is a way of objectifying the personality in the forms and circumstances, the contradictions of life. In other words, a personality is what she was able to make of herself under given life conditions, and life is what a personality was able to make of her through her efforts, will and consciousness, despite life circumstances. The personality as a developing system is characterized by two methods of determination and organization - objective, independent of it, and subjective, inherent in it as a subject.
The life path itself is considered depending on the individual, the level of her activity, the awareness of her personal maturity, responsibility, ability to make decisions and organize time. The personality chooses the direction (sphere) of the life path, changes its direction, organizes and coordinates its events and situations.
S.L. Rubinstein develops the concept of “subject of life’s path,” which (only under certain conditions) is a personality. If the life path is traditionally divided into past, present and future, then the individual as a subject has the ability to connect them in a certain way with his consciousness, experience and actions.
The criteria for personality as a subject of life's journey are:
1) the ability to coordinate internal organization and conditions, requirements, and circumstances of life. This is a way of life developed and implemented by the subject in accordance with his individual typological characteristics;
2) the ability to optimally resolve life’s contradictions and develop as a personal result of these decisions;
3) the ability to move along the path of life “ascending”, that is, to develop as improvement. The structure of the life path
The structure of the life path
is its certain qualitative characteristics that express the way the individual functions in life, these include: life position, line, perspective and meaning of life.
Life position is
an integral of basic life relationships, values, achievements and life and personal opportunities provided by the latter;
1) this is a typical for a given person, generalized, value-based way of reflecting, expressing and fulfilling his needs, the result of a search for conditions and means (both objective and subjective), their satisfaction on value grounds, criteria and parameters developed by the person;
2) totality - an “ensemble” of objective and subjective Relationships of a person and ways of their implementation, characterized by a certain degree of compliance with its needs, value orientations and principles;
3) the measure and ratio of the necessary, desired and real results of activity;
4) the individual’s inherent way of organizing life and implementing self-regulation based on the integration of needs, abilities, the individual’s relationship to life, on the one hand, and the demands of society on it, on the other;
5) the way developed by the individual (under given conditions) of realizing his social life, place in professional activity, methods of self-actualization and self-realization in communication (family), in various forms of life;
6) a person’s inherent way of objectification, self-expression and self-realization in activity, communication, and life’s path as a whole.
A position is a set of already realized life relationships, values, ideals and the found nature of their implementation, which determines the further course of life.
The most important characteristic of a position is contradictions, which, as a result of a person’s adoption of a particular position, can either be aggravated or smoothed out. Positions are characterized by a method of resolving contradictions, which shows whether a person is able to combine his individual psychological, age, status capabilities, features and aspirations with the conditions and demands of life.
If the basic life relationships of a person integrally correspond to his subjective relationships, then such a position is characterized by integrity, harmony, purposefulness, and stability. A position built on unrelated basic relationships and methods of their implementation (not corresponding to these relationships) very quickly leads to an aggravation of contradictions and, ultimately, to a new crisis. Position is personal self-determination
. The main characteristics of the process and the results of self-determination, in our opinion, are as follows:
1) the process of self-determination is overcoming the psychological gap between the current state and the need for self-realization and self-fulfillment;
2) the process of self-determination is two-vector - from the rethinking of “I” in a situation to the highest meanings of the individual and from the highest meanings to methods of their objectification.
A life line
is not stages and transitions from the past through the present to the future, but a characteristic of a person’s life movement in time and value-semantic relations and ways of connecting the past, present and future formed by the person.
Types of life lines
characteristic of different personality types:
— continuum
, i.e. when one stage (stage) of life follows the previous one and follows from it; such a life line is naturally unidirectional, unilinear. Such a life, as a rule, is monotonous, although this monotony is present in both everyday life and, in some cases, scientific life (narrowly limited by the chosen scientific direction, the range of problems, interests and communications);
— discrete
a line in which gaps are formed between stages of life, “excesses” (T.N. Berezina), the absence of a single “logic”: a period of rise and success is replaced by passivity or a change in the direction of activity, “alignment of forces” (in the words of S.L. Rubinstein ), change of job (profession), family, etc. This is sometimes accompanied by a loss of power over events (and even actions), the predominance of the spontaneous-empirical nature of life;
— divergent
the line is characterized by an expansion of space - a “fan” of directions of activity, professional interests (the clearest example of such a life position is the life of Princess M.A. Tenisheva);
— ascending
the life line is characterized by an increase in its Quality level (S.L. Rubinstein), associated with the improvement of the individual as its subject.
Life prospects
, as noted, are the most studied in foreign psychology, personal time projections. However, their study focused on the distance and degree to which life prospects are structured.
We differentiated life prospects (psychological future) into the following three:
— cognitive,
when a person makes plans and constantly plans for the future, but does not necessarily implement them;
— motivational,
when, in the absence of clear conscious plans, a person successfully self-realizes on the basis of high achievement motivation;
— life,
when the future is guaranteed by the totality of: life experience (wisdom), abilities, competence, maturity of the individual and her practical life achievements (social, professional position, material well-being, etc.).
The meaning of life
, in contrast to life prospects, is not only the main motive for a person’s movement into the future, it is also an assessment of his lived life (sometimes as meaningless) and the present according to the main criterion of the authenticity of life and the adequacy of the way of self-expression of the person himself. Sometimes the ratio of external and internal determinants (and corresponding motives) develops in favor of “should” (necessity) at the expense of “want”, and a person turns his life into the fulfillment of a duty and necessity that is far from his desires and goals. Then both her abilities and her energy are realized at half strength, she does not live her life, and therefore does not experience satisfaction with life, which feeds the meaning of life. The loss of meaning in life is the loss of a subjective position in life. Personality as a subject of life path
A special quality of a person that arises in interaction with circumstances and in resolving life’s contradictions is the quality of her as a subject. The category of personality as a subject of life means not only that a person carries out, creates, directs his life, but also how, at what level, with what degree of completeness and depth he lives his life.
S.L. Rubinstein associated the characteristics of the subject of life with three abilities: the ability to reflect, with ideological feelings and with responsibility (“for everything done and missed”).
The ability of reflection is the ability to “build” the course of life, into which a person is drawn in by the flow of affairs, responsibilities, events, experiences, and to look at it objectively, assessing oneself, one’s achievements, failures, way of life, and to formulate one’s problems. The same thing, in fact, was noted by G. Allport as a sense of reality, realistic perception, the ability to see oneself as one is, and would not like to appear. He associated this with the ability to self-knowledge, a sense of humor and the possession of a philosophy of life.
Rubinstein called worldview feelings value-semantic emotional generalizations of life - a feeling of tragic, comic, a sense of optimism, which for each person are in a certain relationship, expressing the semantics and meaning of life (for example, “optimistic tragedy”).
By responsibility he meant the “spirit of seriousness,” i.e., taking life as a life seriously (and not in rough outline), as irreversible, taking responsibility for the fate of other people whose lives you are responsible for. Here his views are also close to G. Allport’s idea of a person’s responsibility for planning and implementing life in accordance with the plan.
Based on these philosophical and psychological ideas, we have developed a theory of personality as a subject of a life path, the criteria of which are:
— the ability to build an optimal harmonious life position;
- to realize it in time as a life line that corresponds to the type of personality (its abilities, needs, motives and its semantic integral - aspirations, self-regulation, satisfaction) and the optimal way for it of self-expression, self-realization in the totality of existing circumstances;
- have a life perspective that corresponds to your type and, most importantly, experience, design and realize the meaning of your life.
The personality as a subject of the life path has, as noted, the highest life abilities - consciousness, activity and the ability to organize time. Consciousness
how an individual’s ability is manifested in the organization of life’s path.
It is connected with its scale, its values, its changes. Consciousness promotes a conscious, i.e., rational way of organizing life; it contributes to the preservation of personal identity during sudden life changes and at the same time directs its development through reflection, identifying and solving life problems. It simultaneously allows the individual to concentrate on the main direction and include his life in a broad context - psychosocial, cultural-historical, social. The consciousness of the subject of the life path is a prerequisite and mechanism of personal culture (A.A. Derkach). Activity
acts as the highest ability of the individual as a subject of the life path, purposefully organizing it in accordance with his individual psychological type.
It manifests itself in cognition, communication, and activity, but only with a positive attitude towards the relevant area. Life ability
is the ability to organize the time of life, manifested in a life perspective and in a number of other forms: in the relationship between sequence and simultaneity of activities; timeliness as optimal coordination of the maximum of one’s activity with the decisive moment of the situation; in the ability of acceleration - as an optimal, constructive way to carry out activity (activity) in time (an example of acceleration in cognitive activity is studies of speed reading in working with texts) (K.A. Abulkhanova, T.N. Berezina).
These abilities and different levels of their development allow the individual as a subject to more (less) optimally organize his life, his life path. Thus, the first aspect of the acmeological understanding of the subject of life is, in addition to the above-mentioned abilities of the individual, which constitute the prerequisite for its subjective quality, a specific method of organization (by organization we mean the qualitative certainty of the system that the subject gives it through his activity). The subject, firstly, self-organizes, secondly, develops ways of interacting with life, and if these methods are optimal, they can be called organized, and, finally, the subject organizes his life as a whole, finding his place in society, a place of activity , knowledge and communication in your life, building it in accordance with your values, goals, worldview, “I-concept”.
The concept of organization in this case is associated with its semantic - value-semantic and value-practical nature: a person works due to his professional motives and interest, his claims to certain successes (achievements) and a role in the professional environment, but sacrifices (i.e. price) time of communication (with friends, colleagues) or free time (to satisfy cultural needs or entertainment needs).
The activity of the subject is manifested not only in activity, communication, cognition, but also in the constant resolution of contradictions that arise between the complex system that is the personality, including its goals, motives, claims (even emotional states, level of performance, etc.) , and the objective life systems with which it interacts, implements its own methods of organization, transforming objectively existing systems (technical, socio-psychological, social, etc.). He develops his own method of organization by resolving these contradictions. Thus, the very theoretical definition of a subject as an organization system with its inherent way of functioning is based on a contradiction, a discrepancy between its capabilities and limitations to those objective spheres of life-work, communication, family, i.e. the system in which it must function . The personality as a subject of life also resolves the contradictions between different ways of organizing life at its different stages in connection with changes and development of itself, social changes, changes in life itself.
By constantly resolving fundamental and many specific contradictions, the personality develops and improves. She becomes more mature, confident, rational and thereby acquires new resources as a subject of life. The subject constantly solves the problem of improvement, and this is its acmeological specificity, human essence and constantly renewed life task. The value and completeness of a person’s life lies not only in its “prosperity,” orderliness and productivity, but also in the very way it is carried out by the subject. The way of life may be much lower than personal capabilities, does not lead to their development, does not provide satisfaction, or the experience of one’s life as having meaning.
So, a personality is what a person managed to make of himself under given circumstances in the course of his life, and a personality is a personality insofar as she was able to make of her life something that corresponded to her abilities, needs, and the meaning of life. The subject of the life path develops a life strategy, and this is its most important function.
Life strategy in the most general definition is a way of life that corresponds to the type of personality, its individuality. Strategy - bringing a person as a subject into conformity with his life to his type.
Strategy is an individual property, an achievement of everyone. As is obvious from the term “strategy” (as opposed to “tactics”), this is the implementation of the most important directions for a person in his life, the solution of fundamental problems and, accordingly, the ability to identify, define and then implement these directions and tasks.
The strategy presupposes the presence of feedback between what a person has achieved and his subsequent aspirations, goals, etc. These connections are imbued with life meaning and give the person confidence (through satisfaction - dissatisfaction with life, activities, etc.) and a sense of authenticity of life .
The absence of a strategy is the tactics of life - the predominance of external necessity, the concession by the individual of his internal individual goals and objectives to the demands of time and circumstances.
Strategy is the optimal organization of life, regulation of its course and implementation of the chosen direction.
A life strategy presupposes responsibility for one’s way of life. Responsibility is defined by Rubinstein as responsibility for everything “done and omitted.” Responsibility is the achievement of a goal, the solution of a problem, guaranteed by one’s own efforts, remaining true to oneself when encountering unforeseen difficulties and obstacles. When developing a life strategy, some rely primarily on socio-psychological tendencies, on the people around them, use social situations, while others rely on internal capabilities, their own strengths and independently support the defining line of life, others optimally unite them, and others constantly resolve contradictions between them.
Types of human activity are characteristic ways for a person to connect external and internal tendencies of life in order to transform them into the driving forces of his life; they represent multiplied personal resources, that is, the abilities of the subject of life. Highest achievements - “acme” in a person’s life path
The concept of “acme”, as is known, was put forward by B. GANaniev and only decades later, thanks to the development of acmeology, it became not a metaphor, but a scientific term. In “Fundamentals of General and Applied Acmeology” A.A. Bodalev comprehensively analyzed its multi-parameter nature, general, special and individual characteristics, “starting” (in the words of B.G. Ananyev) prerequisites for its achievement, factors facilitating and hindering its achievement, possible types of "acme".
Acmeology is an actively developing science. The conclusions drawn by followers are constantly being refined. And significant additions can be made to the premises.
Firstly, the concept of “acme” in the life path is associated with the quality of the subject of life. The above allows us to say that acme is not separately the highest level of personal development or the highest level of its achievements, but it is the culmination of the method of self-realization of the subject of the life path. Therefore, for one type of personality, this culmination is achieved once in a lifetime, and he is held at this maximum level for the entire remaining (professional, life) time. This climax thus has a prolonged character.
The other type reaches its culmination (“acme”) as a self-realized person throughout life only in old age. This is the highest quality and level of personality development, its harmony, optimality, but there remains a short period of life - a year or two of old age, during which a person can realize it (and only in certain limited forms of life itself).
The third type reaches the peaks of life repeatedly, but due to life’s contradictions, changes in life and the goals of the individual himself (broken line of life), having reached the peak, he either descends to the usual level or strives for the next one. In this case, it is possible to talk about a hierarchy of life “peaks” or peaks.
One of the most important questions posed by S.L. Rubinstein is the question of the correspondence or non-compliance of the culmination with the vital forces and resources of the individual.
He writes about this, while still very young, in his obituary on the death of N.N. Lange, a famous Russian psychologist. Rubinstein poses the problem of life and death, the relationship between the peak of life and death, and the relationship between human capabilities and its peak. The latter, in our opinion, is the main thing for acmeology. He writes that some people, having reached their peak, exhaust all their strength (“resources”) and their entire subsequent life turns out to be meaningless and empty. And on the contrary, others, having reached the culmination, the peak, are not exhausted by it (“their personality cannot be measured by the work carried out by it, there is always something infinitely unrealized in them”). This is the problem of the relationship between the capabilities of an individual and his achievements, which can be solved in two ways: in one way, what has been achieved exhausts the capabilities of the individual. With the other, we find an image of the life line moving upward: the image of a ladder, upon climbing which the achievement of each step opens up new horizons (and, we add, multiplies the strength of the individual).
We assume that the concept of “acme,” if expanded in the context of the category of the subject, allows us to talk about the multiplication (inexhaustibility) of personal capabilities based on and thanks to the achievement of culmination. The development of the subject, thus, is not just in the nature of its improvement, but also the multiplication of its human resources.
Above we discussed the correspondence of the level of personality development to its individual capabilities and limits. This is true for psychology. But for acmeology, in which the culmination of the subject is considered in the context of spiritual human culture, the personality, absorbing all its riches, begins to develop according to the principle of progression.
Summary
In relation to previous approaches to the life path of an individual, acmeology settles on a new subjective approach. It allows you to structure your life path not by age periods or certain units, biographical stages, but by generalized life formations: position, line, perspective and meaning of life.
In turn, in a person it is possible to identify those highest life qualities that are relevant to him precisely as a subject of life: consciousness, activity, organization of life time, and give characteristics of the personality as a subject of life's path:
- a way of organizing life (including self-organization).
- method of resolving contradictions;
- a way to improve.
The last integral quality of a subject is the ability to build a life strategy that corresponds to his personality type.
Finally, the concept of “acme” is considered as a disclosure of the method of improving the subject: the highest achievements in life (culminations) are of different types, occur at different periods of life and are in different relationships with personal resources: they either exhaust or multiply them.
There are 2 approaches to studying the future of a person:
1. Event-based, where life goals and plans are studied as “key moments and turning points in a person’s life path” (Rubinstein).
Life goals
and
plans
have a fairly definite subject outline and can be expressed in specific events along the life path. Life plans are means of achieving goals; they determine the order of actions necessary to realize life goals as the main guidelines of the life path in the future. To study life goals and plans, it is necessary to use an event approach, the key concept of which is “event” (Rubinstein, 1946). From the point of view of the event approach, life goals and plans are distinguished as final and intermediate events of a certain stage of life. Goals are larger-scale and somewhat less chronologically defined events than plans. In this regard, in empirical studies, as a rule, concrete events such as entering a university, marriage, promotion, etc. are considered as life plans, and rather abstract landmarks are considered as life goals: good work , material security, happy family life, etc. However, the substantive and chronological uncertainty of goals (if these are really goals) in this case also predetermines the insufficiency of the corresponding life plans for achieving them.
2. The study of events allows us to determine a discrete picture of the future, represented by a set of successive moments, “points” on the lines of life directed to the future. The factor that determines the movement along these lines from event to event is the value
orientations of the individual
, which are based on the system of social values perceived by the individual. When planning his future, outlining specific events - plans and goals, a person proceeds, first of all, from a certain hierarchy of values represented in his consciousness. Navigating a wide range of social values, the individual chooses those that are most closely linked to his dominant needs. The objects of these needs, being conscious of the individual, become his leading life values. Selective focus on these values is reflected in the hierarchy of value orientations of the individual. Value orientations do not have the certainty that is inherent in goals and plans formed at the proper level. Thanks to this, they perform a more flexible regulatory function. Their subject is a certain sphere of life, a line of behavior designed for a period of time that is difficult to establish in advance for the direct implementation of expectations corresponding to the existing hierarchy of values.
If life goals and plans are not realized, the presence of value regulators ensures the stability of the individual at the time of the “crisis of unfulfillment.” If the intended goals are achieved and lose their motivating power, value orientations stimulate the setting of new goals.
Value orientations, goals and plans are successive stages of subjective regulation of human life. Orientations determine the order of preference for certain areas of activity, directions of the life path on which a person intends to concentrate his strength and energy. Setting goals presupposes knowledge not only of the direction of activity, but also of its ideal result, which corresponds to a certain event in the life path that separates the zone of the foreseeable future in a given area of life from the future that has not yet been mastered by a person. Life goal
- this is the subject and chronological boundary of the “actual” future, directly related to the concerns and problems of the present. If up to this boundary the future is filled with specific life plans on the way to the realization of the corresponding life goals, then beyond it it can only be expressed in general orientations towards life values, which do not require chronological and clear subject definition.
The system of ideas about the future also includes other components, among which, on the one hand, dreams, fantasies, reveries that make up a desirable, but not necessarily feasible picture of the future, and on the other - anxieties and fears, expectations of unpleasant events that, with a certain probability, may happen in the life of every person and which impossibilities he should avoid... Practical lesson.
1. Choose a biography of a famous person.
2. Analyze the life path according to the developed algorithm (students themselves develop it during a group discussion).
3. Analysis of one’s own biography and making forecasts regarding the processes of personal growth and development.

What Science Says
The problem of the life path is studied by many disciplines: psychology, history, philosophy, biology... And of course, experts in each field suggest looking at this problem from a certain angle
For example, biologists talk about the importance of the so-called sensitive periods in human life, that is, those in which the most favorable conditions are created for the formation of certain properties and qualities of the body (for example, the period of speech development)
Sociologists note the importance of social rituals: coming of age, marriage... Indeed, after such events, as a rule, a person acquires a new set of rights and responsibilities, his attitude towards himself and the attitude of others towards him changes.

It is believed that you need to finish school, then university, work, start a family... Or are the biological stages of development the same for all organisms of the same species, which we also already mentioned? And then how to find your own, truly your own path, if everything seems to have already been decided for you?
We recommend: Introspection in psychology
Here another term appears - “life cycle”. It precisely includes repeating, already defined stages of development that all people must go through - biological and social stages. The first, for example, includes birth, childhood, adolescence, growing up, aging... The second includes the assimilation of a social role, its fulfillment, and then abandonment of it.
6 main obstacles in life's journey
It seems to you that the target is close, you can practically see it, but for some reason you cannot get closer to it, because barriers are preventing you:
Barrier 1. Fear of failure.
How will I do something? What if nothing works out for me? I don’t know how, I don’t know, I haven’t tried to do this yet, so how can I accomplish something?
What if I start and everything goes wrong? So what should I do then?
I don’t need anything new, I’ll do what I’ve already done and it worked for me. And then, as you can see, suddenly something will work out.
Of course, no action is needed, it is better to hide from problems. Just think about this. Failure scares you - but what is the reason? You tried, you didn't succeed. And this is absolutely normal for everyone. Try further. And so on until you reach the goal. And it's okay!
Barrier 2. Jump over the abyss.
You want to achieve any goal right away, immediately. Quit your job, sell your apartment, get a divorce - and when you no longer have obligations, the time will come for your dream.
But it’s also worth thinking about the mundane: how and on what you will live, for example, or about other everyday issues. Do you want everything at once? But do you need to rush? After all, you can move towards your dream measuredly, calmly, and with confidence. Even if in small steps. You cannot jump to the fifth floor from the first. But step by step, you will certainly be there.
Barrier 3: You discuss the successes of others.
But this is serious. How many strange individuals are around you doing and achieving something? How can you resist talking about them with understanding friends in order to jointly brand these bad people with shame!
How can you calmly look at them, running around on dates, buying new ones - absolutely tasteless! - things and doing as you want! This requires immediate discussion and condemnation! And it’s impossible not to immediately share it with everyone you know?
- What are you talking about! It was she who came in a terrible green blouse with terrible roses! Or not in green? And without roses? Doesn't matter!
And then they spend hours discussing the words and actions of other people and their attitude towards them. But is it only possible to talk about loved ones and relatives? After all, there are so many notable people living in the world: actors, politicians, bloggers. What about VIPs? Or even the family of the Queen of England? Did you hear what Meghan or Prince Harry did?
Yes, yes, everyone else is wrong. They don't do things the way you do. And you know exactly how to do it. However, is your dream somehow connected with all this?
Barrier 4. I have no time.
– When should I do this? I don’t have time at all?
– What about your dream?
– What will happen to her will wait.
Of course, she won’t disappear anywhere, she’ll wait. But if you are not on the path to your dream now, does that mean you are on the path to someone else’s? While yours is waiting for its time, another one is being realized? Do you really need this?
Barrier 5. Brainwashing with soap.
Anyone who sells something wants to sell it at all costs. Direct advertising, as it turns out, doesn't help much. However, a universal remedy exists. It is enough to convince a person and influence him. Then the person will buy what is required. Every evening, millions of gullible viewers happily allow themselves to be convinced of the need for many goods and services.
The simplest formula applies here: “If you buy nonsense, you find happiness. I took the pill and got better. I bought the ointment and all the women are at your feet (it works the other way around too).” And the potential buyer completely trusts her. This effect can also be used to create TV series.
The procedure becomes a habit. Therefore, the viewing of the next episode begins. But does this really help you achieve your dreams?
Barrier 6. Not today.
There are no more barriers! It's time to make your dream come true. Don’t say: just not now, because I’m not in the mood, what will I do next, is it worth rushing at all, if you can start on Monday or the first of the month, on your birthday or New Year... but why now? And we ourselves put off and put off the dream. Not today!
No, today! At least one step forward. Just make a phone call or write it down in your diary. No matter what, movement is important.
What is a person’s life path
So, the life path is understood as the process of personality formation under the influence of social, political, spiritual and other factors, which lasts throughout a person’s life.
An individual’s life path is influenced by 3 types of events:
- Environmental events (events that do not depend on people).
- Events-actions (human behavior depending on circumstances).
- Events of inner life (thoughts and experiences that shape personality).
Psychologist and philosopher S. B. Buhler in 1968 identified 5 phases in people’s lives, which are unique stages of the life path:
- Up to 16 years old. The life path is not yet typical for this period. A person’s personality is just being formed, he has neither a profession nor a family, and it is too early to talk about his chosen path in life.
- From 16-20 to 23-30 years. During this period, the life path of the individual begins. People already understand in advance what they want to do, they begin to work and look for themselves in a profession, and look for a life partner.
- From 25-30 to 45-50 years. During these years, a person, as a rule, already has a family and a stable job, he was able to self-realize in the family and professional spheres. A person knows what he wants, sets goals and achieves them.
- From 45-50 to 65-70 years. A difficult period in the life of every person, which is characterized by the end of professional activity and the separation of adult children, as a result of which the individual experiences a mental crisis, a feeling of uncertainty and confusion before old age.
- From 70 and older. This phase ends the life journey. At this time, people are turned to the past, they have few social connections.
Where are we going?
It was from the definition of the life cycle that Charlotte Bühler, the researcher who proposed the concept of “personal life path,” started. Unlike the life cycle, the life course includes the ability to choose from a variety of options. Considering the connection between the phases of the life cycle and studying the biographies of real people belonging to various social groups, she identified three lines that set the direction of human life.
- Objective events that replace each other.
- The way a person experiences the change of these events is his spiritual world.
- The results of human actions.
In general, as Buhler believed, the main force that forces a person to move along the path of life is the desire for “self-realization,” that is, the achievement of all goals, conscious or unconscious. Bühler identified stages of life's journey based on two factors - a person's age and his attitude towards goals in each period of development.
- Up to 16-20 years: before self-determination. Questions about how to find one’s path in life do not yet bother a person.
- Up to 25-30 years: activation of tendencies towards self-determination. A person searches for a suitable type of activity and chooses a life partner. Goals and plans for life are still preliminary.
- Up to 45-50 years: the culmination of self-determination. This is the time of prosperity: it is believed that it was possible to determine a professional calling and create a stable family. There are already results that can be compared with the intended goals. However, at this stage a crisis may occur. The individual may realize that the goals were not achieved or were set incorrectly.
- Up to 65-70 years: decreased tendencies towards self-determination. The psychology of personality is changing: from now on, a person is more turned back to the past, and not to the possibility of new achievements.
- From 70 years: after self-determination. A person is overcome by the desire for regularity and peace. At this stage, the individual can evaluate life as a whole.
Bühler identified the event as an elementary structural unit of life, and, as she believed, events can be objective (occurring in the external world) and subjective (in the inner world of the individual). It is interesting that a large number of the latter, according to the researcher, indicates more active attempts to find out their purpose, a stronger desire for self-determination.
The first Russian scientist to consider the problem of the life path, S. L. Rubinstein, also adhered to the event-based approach. In his opinion, only certain turning points that set the direction of personality development in the future period of life can be classified as events. Rubinstein insisted that the life course must be considered not only as a process of development of the organism, but also as the individual history of a particular person.
We recommend: Individuality is
K. A. Abulkhanova-Slavskaya also emphasizes the individual contribution of a person. The researcher does not deny that a person is limited by society and the norms prevailing in it, but at the same time, she is able, by comparing herself with others, to find her place in the world. A special look at your own life is important - it must be considered as manageable, subject to the mind and efforts of a person.
Essay on the topic “The roads we choose”
How does a person live? Most likely, love, faith in the future, hope for the best. We all want to be happy, we dream that we will choose a successful profession that we will like and will benefit people. We believe that we will have a friendly and happy family. Each of us hopes that our life will be better, richer, more interesting than the life of our parents. The main thing is to find your own path. Only then will we be able to achieve maximum results in our work, be happy and bring joy to people. Many of us strive to become adults as soon as possible. We want to be independent, we want to realize ourselves faster. Our adult life begins with the choice of profession. This is a responsible decision on which your entire future life depends. The world of professions is very large. We inquire, consult, choose. But at our age, it is not always possible to immediately choose a profession that will become “yours.” We think about our future profession as early as childhood. But with age, our views may change: we look at the world more realistically, and consult with our elders. We are guided by desires or acquired skills for any kind of work. Both of these paths can lead to the high road of life, but you can make a mistake. Because skills to work are not yet a profession. And desires are often based only on the external attractiveness of a particular profession. In addition, our desires do not always coincide with the opinions of our parents. Of course, parents know life better, and we should listen to their opinion. But in any case, we need to look for an option that will suit both us and the adults. A person’s happiness depends on the right choice of profession. At our age, this choice is not a simple and easy task; it is not for nothing that they say that an independent choice of profession is “the second birth of a person.” In the life of every person, profession plays an important role, but the most important thing is who you are in this life. Time changes, people's lives and worldviews change, but the main thing remains what a person cannot live without: love, kindness, mercy. We must remember that a person does not live for a profession, but a profession exists for people. After all, in life it happens that a person can be a good specialist, but it is unpleasant to communicate with such a “specialist”; you cannot rely on him, because he thinks only about himself and his career. It would do us all good to remember the words of L. Tatyanicheva more often: “Happiness does not come cheap on difficult roads. What good have you done? How have you helped people? Each of us will develop differently in the future. Not everyone will be able to devote themselves to one profession. But no matter what job you have, you need to treat it conscientiously. Then people will respect and appreciate you. The main thing is to never forget that in any situation you need to remain Human.

I WANT
A brief algorithm for parents' actions:
Determine what your child loves and what is important to him (his desires and interests) Assess his strengths and weaknesses (his abilities and talents) Select a cluster of professions Find out more about these professions Give him the opportunity to try his hand at this profession.
Specific steps
- Development of thinking in the early stages.
The choice of a life path depends not only on abilities, inclinations and skills, but also on the characteristics of thinking: how the child thinks, how he solves problems, and relates to difficulties. In our child development center, children from 2 to 17 years old develop basic thinking structures. - Psychological help.
A psychologist will help the child understand himself, get rid of fears and doubts that interfere with the formation of a healthy personality. - Career guidance testing
allows a child to calmly understand his interests. Such tests help the child to look at himself from the outside, to answer for himself which activities he is more drawn to. - Case method.
High school students can imagine some specialties very abstractly. Helping your child figure out what's what is done using the case method - a teaching technique that uses descriptions of real economic, social and business situations. Participants must explore the situation, understand the essence of the problems, propose solutions and choose the best. Cases are based on real factual material or are close to a real situation. This is an opportunity to “try on a profession.” This summer at the ART Personality profession camp, during the “Design/Marketing” shift, three groups of our students will work on creating a large design project. See what other cases we come up with. - Communication with professionals.
People who have achieved success in something are able to talk about professional reality without embellishment and give specific practical advice. We actively practice this method. Elena Isinbaeva spoke with our students about sports, Sergei Yursky spoke about the profession of an actor, and Irina Prokhorova discussed the activities of an editor and publisher with the children.
Parents' mistakes
- One-sided development.
A child can love and do different things, for example, understand physics and play the guitar at the same time. Interests, no matter how different they may be, together make up the unique baggage of a person. - Realizing your dreams through your child, and not through his desires and inclinations
. Often parents force their children to study law because everyone in their family is a lawyer. A similar situation: a mother sends her child to English at the age of two, when she herself does not know it at all.
What is a life path
Ultimately it is the life that a person lives. Why the path? Life is constant movement and development. That’s why they say that life is a path, a road that a person needs to go through. Like any road, it has two points: the beginning - birth, and the end - death. The further a person moves along this path, the greater his knowledge base. The more he learns, the wiser he becomes, the shorter the path that remains for him to travel.
Its duration depends on health, the confluence of many circumstances and the intersection of human destinies. The quality of life's journey is directly proportional to the efforts a person makes in achieving his goals.
The direction of life is not as easy as it seems to find, due to the following reasons:
There is no universal formula
The direction of life is a purely personal concept. Each necessarily has its own focus, as well as methods for achieving it.
Finding direction takes time
This is perhaps the main reason why many have difficulty finding it. They need immediate results, and this is a long journey.
What should I do if I can't find direction in my life?
Let's look at some situations where it is impossible to determine what you want from life.
Events in a person’s life, their meaning and sequence
Since we live in society, a person’s life path does not pass on its own; it is influenced by certain events and their sequence. Events can have a positive and negative meaning in a person’s fate, help to reveal talents, make them stronger or, conversely, break them. Make adjustments to his destiny
For example, meeting a person with a bright personality, no matter whether positive or negative, can turn a person’s life around, speed up or slow down his movement towards a certain goal
A private event can affect one person or his loved ones and change their destinies. Events in the life of a country influence many destinies. You can fight some of them, try to change their influence on your life, and extract some benefit for yourself and those around you. Others are perceived as fate, a given that one must try to survive. But almost no event passes without a trace; it leaves a certain mark on a person’s life.
What's the outcome
And what is the result? What does life's path lead to? There is no final stop, because you are constantly moving forward. If you decide to become an animal defender, then after saving a couple of puppies, will you stop doing it, thinking that the goal has been achieved?
No, you will continue to save animals, take care of them, and with the path of life, you outline a general plan: to become a historian, a climber, a family man, an animal lover or a hunter, or maybe both!
The path lasts your entire life, it is something like the definition of a person, who he is, his aspirations, which direction he wants to go in life and what kind of person to be. The people and circumstances around you can influence your decisions, but the main choice is still yours.
Listen to desires
This is what a person needs to do first if he is thinking about how to find a path to a new life. Desires are part of our nature. They are individual and changeable, each with their own. But they are all social in nature. And desires, thanks to the conscious activity of a person and his thinking, sooner or later are reborn into certain life goals. Which determine the meaning of existence.
A person can determine the right path in life if he listens to himself. To what he wants. Strong desires always become goals, since they are a powerful stimulating energy for any human activity - be it creativity, business, or interpersonal relationships.
Connection with a higher principle
Second
. Nature comes from a higher source. Everyone is given a certain path in this world. We are all connected here with the highest. Therefore, if in a person’s life there is no experience of openness to senior management, trust in him, it will be very difficult for him to find his way in life and find himself. If there is no this connection.
In the most general case, it will be difficult for a person who is far from spiritual practice to understand who I really am and what I should do.
Read
So, the first thing is to look within yourself. Secondly, you need to look in these higher relationships. It is in this connection that nature manifests itself.
➨ First. Try different activities. Because when we try, explore different areas, we begin to feel where is closer, where is ours.
➨ Second. If a person is not at peace with himself, his emotions... If he does not know how to feel and understand his needs, then it will be difficult for him to find himself. Even if he does everything that was written before.
Confusing psychological scripts distort the ability to recognize something. To understand yourself, you need to work through some of your emotional blocking problems.
➨ Third. Communicate with other people and consult with them. Because sometimes it is easier for another person to understand us than for us to understand ourselves.
Now let's remember the story of the sage and the cow.
In fact, a little higher we have already revealed its meaning. Did you notice?
If a person always pays attention only to problems...
If he constantly discusses why everything around him is this way and not otherwise...
If he rests his gaze on the thick fence of his (albeit imposed, but accepted as his own) negative beliefs...
Such a person is unlikely to understand how to find his way in life.
Remember the example about the consciousness of the fly and the bee? The fly picks around the negative and lives in it all its life. She savors everything that is bad and is attached to it. And when there are only problems around, tell me, is there time to think about really important things? There is no time - you need to suffer. Read more about the consciousness of a fly and the consciousness of a bee -.
"I'll finish school and..."
Almost every student dreams of finishing their studies as quickly as possible. The problem of his life’s path does not seem to concern him. It is better to write an essay on this topic for high school students, or rather, graduates. Everyone is young, cheerful, happy. After all, freedom will soon come: no teachers, no tests, no supervision from parents, no diaries with comments and grades.
It is advisable to explain what difficulties may await them in the future. What advice can you give to students so that they don't break down when things get tough? You can give examples from your youth. What mistakes happened. Having given examples, one must conclude by saying: “Everything is decided in life. Yesterday was bad, so it’s necessary. But today everything got better.” White, gray and black stripes are like a change in the weather. This is what the path of life consists of. An essay-reasoning on the topic “How will I respond to a problem” is, so to speak, a continuation. Let the student think about how he will act at one time or another, how he will react.
Such a topic should not just be an essay that is written, graded for it, and then forgotten. It is advisable to talk with children seriously, based on the results of the written words. “The Path of Life” is a rather serious essay that requires further communication. A talented teacher or psychologist should help children understand many things.
Stages and goals of development and life path
Philosophers and psychologists are inclined to believe that the life path of each individual is seriously influenced by:
- The script is an unconscious life plan that is formed in a child during childhood under the influence of his parents. E. Berne identifies 3 possible scenarios in the life of every person: winner, mediocrity, loser. Depending on which version of the scenario is imprinted in the child’s brain, he will behave this way throughout his life.
- The search for the other half is an important stage in the life of an individual, which shows the degree of readiness of a person to begin his life path, the level of his responsibility, moral and spiritual values.
- Mature age is the main stage in assessing your life path. A person, depending on his attitude towards life and the feeling of satisfaction from it, can understand how much his life path coincides with the talents, needs and desires that he has. To what extent his life is correct and meets the expectations of the individual.
- Results and soul-searching are tools with which a person evaluates the correctness of the chosen path, his desires and abilities, as well as his ideas about life. These techniques help you adjust your life so that it satisfies you as much as possible.
- Hobbies, travel, recreation are tools that help an individual take a broader look at the world, his place in it, and understand his desires and capabilities. Only when resting can people allow themselves to think about their existence, how satisfied they are with what is happening to them and what they would like to change. Only by doing what he loves can a person be truly happy and understand what he wants. Only by traveling can a person quickly enrich his horizons, learn something new, and radically change his views.
Choose more boldly
Evolve! Start small, for example, change your usual route to work, replace watching hockey with ice skating, or lying on the couch with a club of interests.
Try it! The passage of time cannot be changed or slowed down
If you don't take risks, what is the point of existence? It is better to dare, having an escape route, than not to take a single step towards your dream, whether you are twenty or three times older
Appreciate it! A change in life path is based on a choice that everyone makes independently, based on ideas about the norm, morality, guided by family and social ties, but in any case, not causing harm to others.
Listen up! Sometimes, to make a choice, we turn to friends, and when we have exhausted the advice of colleagues and relatives, we do not leave fortune tellers and clairvoyants aside in the hope that they will make a choice for us. But believe me, not a single witch cares about your life. Whatever she says, you will have to decide for yourself. It is better to turn to your own internal reserves for help, while simultaneously analyzing the experience of the older generation.
Take care of your soul! You can change everything: gender, country, breast size, car. And if you are truly blissful from the changes, do not delay. If a facelift and new breasts make you truly happy, change, but remember, on the operating table you correct your body, but you will live with your soul.
Catch a wave of luck and your life path will change for the better. Have you lost the taste of life, its aroma, the smell of leaves, the feeling of serenity? Do you continue to live out of habit, seeing nothing around you but routine? If you answered yes to both questions, it's time to take the leap into a new life. There is no need to make an effort, you realized that the time has come for change - here it is, your revolution.

Focus on knowledge and capabilities
It will be easier for a person to find the beginning of a path in life if he analyzes himself as a source of useful resources for his passage. What can he do? What actions is he capable of? How far can one go in pursuit of the meaning of life? Abilities play an important role in the process of passing through life. After all, they are personal properties that determine the successful implementation of one or another type of activity.
Abilities are our internal mental regulators that determine the possibility of acquiring skills, abilities and knowledge. Some of them determine the success of education and training, as well as the formation of personal qualities. Others are responsible for the production of new ideas and discoveries. Abilities are human resources that he must use in order to achieve his goals. Knowledge of their presence often helps to find the path to spiritual life. You just need to ask yourself one question: “What am I capable of?” and give answers to it. Perhaps the meaning of life will be hidden in one of them.
Heroes of "War and Peace" in search of the meaning of life
Everyone wants to live a decent life. At any age, a person dreams of good things. In their essays about the path of life, schoolchildren who have not yet acquired sufficient knowledge, having gone through only a small period of life, write about their choice, without imagining what awaits them ahead. This is good. This is a reason to think, even if the essay is written in someone else’s words and much is not always clear in the actions of literary heroes. But their destinies, written by the master, will make it possible to understand that the main thing is to have a clear goal and go towards it.
An example of this is the fate of the heroes of War and Peace. Pierre's life path is a spiritual path of searching for his place in life, full of suffering, mistakes and disappointments, which led to love and happiness. For his spiritual work was not in vain, he learned to understand people, appreciate the true and reject the false. He, an illegitimate child, deprived of a family, the love of his parents, was an eccentric who was laughed at and not taken seriously. Having become a Freemason, he was deeply disappointed.
Having become the owner of a huge fortune, he suddenly becomes a person who was admired in person, but behind his back they continued to consider him worthless. He became acquainted with flattery, fawning, ingratiation, being well aware of this. Love for Helen made him unhappy, because he understood that this woman simply could not love. She uses him for her own purposes by cheating on him. Only after going through French captivity and falling in love with Natasha, he understood the meaning of life, feeling his need and finding happiness.
Most schoolchildren prefer to write essays about Bolkonsky’s life path, since it is more understandable. This main character, lovingly described by L. Tolstoy, unlike his friend Pierre Bezukhov, is handsome and respected in society. He knows what is necessary in life. He did not need to look for the meaning of life; he saw it in serving the Fatherland, caring for his elderly father and raising his young son. Endowed with all the positive qualities, knowing the path to follow, was he happy? After all, it is simple human happiness, according to Bezukhov, that is the highest meaning of life.
Auxiliary numerology – destiny number
An excellent additional help in the matter of destiny is the number of fate in numerology. Feel free to use it to clarify your mission.
How to calculate fate number by date of birth:
- Add each digit of the day of birth until you get a single or double digit number. Example: 12/09/1990 = 0+9+1+2+1+9+9+0 = 31.
- If you get a two-digit number, add its digits to a single-digit number. Example: 12/09/1990 = 0+9+1+2+1+9+9+0 = 31 = 3+1 = 4.
- If in point 1 you get the number 11 or 22, skip the second point.
The result obtained will be the life path number. According to numerology, it determines the purpose of the owner. What he is most predisposed to. How should he develop himself or where should he go.
The interpretation of the number of fate is the subject of a separate article on the site, where you can learn in detail about the different missions. But for a general idea, you can find out about yourself right now by looking at the desired date.

Troika

Twenty two
Where 11 comes up with new ideas, 22 brings them to life. The number of gifted people in all directions who can literally change the lives of others. Grandiose leaders, great masters, investors. However, if you consider 22 as a double two or four, life should be devoted to the development of your soul.
Finding your true place in life for many means feeling needed and gifted. Aimless existence destroys nature.
However, you should not necessarily look for your mission in distant countries and unexplored areas. True purpose is often right in front of your nose.
